It’s Valentine’s week, I am giving a shout out to some of my
favorite VHP authors whom I feel privileged to have met and grown to love. They don’t know I’m doing this…it’s my secret
surprise Valentine to each of them. I’ve
already introduced Smoky Trudeau Zeidel, CharmaineGordon, Melinda Clayton and ChelleCordero; and now I would like to introduce Malcolm Campbell.
Malcolm R. Campbell is the author of contemporary fantasy novels and paranormal
short stories as well as the wild and crazy satire, Jock Stewart and the
Missing Sea of Fire. His “Jock Talks”
satire—namely fictional news stories about real and imagined events—appears in
four collections: Strange People, Politics, Outlandish Happenings and (with
Smoky Trudeau Zeidel) Lightning Safety.
Before I continue on with his credits, I have to say, if you
were going to read anything this year, pick up Jock Steward and the Missing Sea
of Fire or any of the Jock Talks Collection.
You will laugh! His satirical
flow is priceless. Jock Talks...Politics
is a 2013 Pushcart Prize nominee and it isn’t hard to see why.
Malcolm wrote two fantasies, The Sun Singer, which was a
finalist in the 2004 “ForeWord Magazine” Book of the Year Awards, and Sarabande;
both of which are set in the high
country of Glacier National Park, Montana where he worked as a bellman while in
college. He has also written Moonlight
and Ghosts, and Cora’s Crossing, which are set in the Florida Panhandle where
Malcolm grew up. He is currently preparing
for the release of Garden of Heaven-The Triology, consisting of, The Seeker,
The Sailor and The Betrayed. (release

Malcolm’s fiction and non-fiction work has appeared in
“Nonprofit World,” “Nostalgia Magazine,” “The Smoking Poet,” the Atlanta
“Journal-Constitution”, the Great Lakes “Bulletin,” “Living Jackson Magazine,”
the “Future Earth Magazine” and training and manufacturing trade magazines. His
career has also included grant writing for nonprofit organizations.
Malcolm’s satirical view of the world and his uncanny
ability to make me laugh is why I’m dubbing him My Funny Valentine. May the laughter continue ~
